Geographically, Sofina has investments located in Belgium, the Netherlands, the United Kingdom and North America.

The company has holdings in Richemont, Colruyt, Danone, SES S.A., Suez S.A., Eurazeo.

Historically, the company also owned the Anglo-Argentine Tramways Company, which was one of the largest tram operators in the world at the time.
